01Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how M/S AKG Ventures("AKG Ventures", "we", "us", "our") handles information when you visit akgventures.com ("this website").

AKG Ventures is the channel partner and master franchisee for the OCTAVE brand, and owns and operates the OCTAVE stores listed on this website. OCTAVE is also operated by other, independent franchisees elsewhere in India who are not affiliated with AKG Ventures and are not covered by this Policy.

This website is a corporate information site. It sells nothing, takes no orders and processes no payments.

02What we collect

If you choose to email us, we hold what you send - your email address, your name, and whatever you write - for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry. That is the only personal information we ever come to hold through this website, and it only exists because you sent it.

We do not collect payment details or purchase history through this website. Purchases happen in our physical stores and are governed by the terms printed on your bill.

03Why we use it

Solely to read and respond to your enquiry, and to keep a record of that correspondence. We do not use it for marketing and we do not add you to any mailing list.

04Who else can see it

Anything you email us is seen by the AKG Ventures staff handling your enquiry, and by our email provider, which stores and delivers the message on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations. Nobody else. We do not sell or rent correspondence to anyone.

We may disclose information where we are required to by law, regulation or valid legal process.

05Third-party requests from this website

This website loads its typeface from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore makes a request to Google's servers, which reveals your IP address and browser details to Google. We receive nothing from this and it is not used to identify you. No other third-party service is contacted by any page on this site.

06How long we keep it

We keep email correspondence for up to 24 months, after which it is deleted. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we will.

07Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to confirm what information about you we hold, to correct it if it is wrong, to delete it, and to withdraw a consent you previously gave. You may also nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.

08Keeping it safe

This website is served entirely over HTTPS and stores nothing itself. We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect enquiry correspondence. No transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09Children

This website is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through it.

10Links to other sites

This website links to myoctave.in, which is operated by us but has its own privacy policy covering the cookies, analytics and forms used there. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any other site we link to.

11Changes

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.
